This feed is made up of three main ingredients.
Linseed Meal (pressed Flax) - A grass seed not a grain. The protein to fat ratio is more correct for a horse than that in full flax. Neglible carbohydrates.
Canola Meal - Grass seed (protein) not grain (carbohydrate). Balances Omega 3 and Omega 6 with out Omega 9 fatty acids.
Rice Bran - Good source of proper omega fatty acids necessary for cell wall health.
Vitamins and minerals are human grade and chelated. Iodine is added.
No fillers. No artificial ingredients. No feed grade materials. No alfalfa which contains 6 components that are known to block thyroid function. It is known to make the body acidic. No soybeans which are high in Omega 9 fatty acids. No grains which are a great source of carbohydrates, something very few horses need a lot of. No waste materials like beet pulp, wheat middlings, soybean hulls, grain by products, forage by products, all examples of waste products that end up in horse feed. No molasses which is high fructose corn syrup. No heat processed or oil extracted components which causes leaching and alterations in the composition of the feedstuff.
